Carol hold an M.Sc. degree in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology from University College London, and an M.A. degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology from York University. She is currently completing her Doctoral degree in the Clinical Developmental Psychology program at York University. Carol has worked in school and private practice settings, using intervention strategies from several evidence-based modalities, including DBT.
Carol has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds with a wide range of needs. She is committed to providing culturally sensitive treatments to all clients, and is passionate about providing treatment for individuals who identify as LGBTQ*. Carol has worked with individuals with many challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorders, attention deficits and hyperactivity, intellectual disabilities, learning difficulties, anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and parent and peer-related difficulties. Carol’s research focuses on cross-cultural differences in maternal sensitivity and has been presented at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
